I went to sleep with the window cracked open. I would have had all the windows wide open, but Hubby can't sleep like that. Yesterday was a wonderful high of 79 degrees. By evening the wind was picking up and the fresh smell of rain was enveloping the air. I fell asleep to the gentle rain and occasional roar of thunder.
Waking to it gives such a feeling of freshness. It's soothing, comforting to me. It makes me think God is washing away the cold and bringing warm spring. The birds are chipping and flowers are blooming.
Ahhh... fresh rain♥

Fungi
The weather has been odd around here. It has been very humid. Hot sticky days and nights. And then there is the rain. Crazy rain. Thunderstorms with bad ass lightening. Then it goes right back to the hot humid weather.
I don't recall this quite so the way it has been. I certainly don't recall seeing so many mushrooms appear overnight. They pop up daily. Little colonies. And great big bursting at the seems kind.
Ever think about a mushroom? There so many types. The yard variety, the super market kind, then the psychedelic, better know what you are doing kind.
My yard is producing a bunch that look very different. I like them. I think they look rather interesting.

"Raindrops are fallin' on My Head"
The good news is my sun roof will be repaired this weekend,
as soon as the parts come in.
The bad news {other than a Lifetime Warranty doesn't mean squat},
is I could not out run the rain on my way home!
a little wet.. but made me laugh.

Singin' in The Rain

Life isn't about
how to survive the storm,
rather
how to dance in the rain!
Growing up, my girls learn to appreciate simple things.
Like Puddle Walks & singing in the Rain.
We loved going to the zoo when it rained. Have you ever had the pleasure of watching animals at play on a hot day with a mid day shower?
As long as it wasn't lightening & thundering, we would go on swimming in the rain.
Puddle walks in the spring and summer and even fall days. Neighbors thought we were crazy, kids LOVED the idea.
There is nothing like a hot humid Indiana summer day when a rain will come! Mud between your toes, counting worms and viewing the gorgeous rainbows.
Playing in the rain was, well, fun!
Guess what? We didn't melt, we didn't catch colds. We got frizzy hair and dirty, but we loved it!
