Ring Tones

Isn't it interesting to hear peoples choice of ring tones?

People choose to show their personalities. They choose to show their likes in music. They choose according to the person the tune is associated with.

Some just try to find the least annoying selection on their phones. And some have no clue how to change the settings!

I have a favorite Areosmith tune for when my husband calls me.

For my daughters I have a silly little bit from Family Guy's Stewie, an almost annoying little, "Mama, Mama, MAMA!" It makes my friends laugh more than me.

The Besties have a favorite song from our childhood. A song we sang all the time. A REO Speedwagon tid bit.

I picked some other fun tunes for my sister and parents.

I have an annoying warning for my employment is calling.

And Trans~Siberian Orchestra for all else.

Sergio use to have the theme from Law & Order. He needs Annie to put it on his new phone.

Technology has come such a long way. I remember Sergio was one of the first to have a "cellular" phone. It was huge and attached to his car. Later he got a huge portable. Do you remember how ugly and big they were? At least he never lost it back then! Today they are so small we are constantly calling ourselves to find the tiny little devices.

I wish I wasn't so attached to my phone. I think that with the girls, husband, family & Besties, I feel I must have it with me 24/7. For them anyway. Just in case, someone needs me.

Hi my friend :-) You probably already know my thoughts on this, as I posted about my "cell" phone before. It's a pre-paid trac phone that I only carry for emergencies, and it's usually dead, turned off in my purse, because I don't use it.

It only has the ring tones available on the phone and since I never use it, there's no need for them.

But my daughter knows a thing or two about ringtones, lol, even though she also has a cheap pre-paid phone only for emergencies.

We have a land line through our cable company that offers all free calls to anywhere, so it's just the best option for us. I have no one to talk to on my cell phone and even if I did, I wouldn't use it as I hate using the phone.

Now, email on the other hand - I use daily and that's my main means of keeping in touch. :-)

I'm the type that doesn't know how to change a ringtone and doesn't want to know. I'm of the opinion that less is more.

HaHa! Yes, Ms Linda, I knew you would remind me about your "Lack of Love", for cellular devises. I was hoping you'd share your thoughts.
And Rosaria~ yep! I know many that have no clue or no desire to go forward with this technology. Today, I was looking up the newest exchange for Annie. She is due for a new one and will get it as I must be able to have the peace of mind that she has this marvelous safety device.
How on earth did parents handle not knowing back before?
Thanks for commenting my dear bloggers!

I use my retro old fashioned ring tone (sounds like a real old phone) to differentiate my sound. Now everyone seems to have gone retro and are using MY ring, I need to find something unique. I can't do a different ring for everyone because I barely pay attention to it ringing with one ring. I do like the security of a phone but sometimes I wish there were no email or cell phones so I could just hide from whatever is going on...Deb.

I leave mine on vibrate; It is actually a little calmer that way. No noise.

Stewie is the best! Mom, Mom, Mom, Mommy, Mommy, Mommy, Momma, Momma, Momma, Lois! Hi! hehehehe

My ringtone is The Rolling Stones 'Paint it Black'. I wish I wasn't so dependant on the stupid thing, though!

Oh Janis..you are too funny. I love the pic. It reminds me of the movie, Night at the Roxbury..remember? When we were teenagers we would just take a regular phone with us in the car and upon "dragging main" we would pull up next to someone and hand the receiver out the window and say, "It's for you"... Thanks for bringing back the funny memory.

Ring is indeed very important to select ring tones according to their own preference settings. Must have a selection of ring tones can be appreciated, and should not make too much out of the way. :)

I know when I call you, it's "Time for Me to Fly." If I ever figure it out, I want my phone to ring/sing "Thank you for Being a Friend" when you call. Right now it is a very distinctive song -- only for you -- but I don't love it. I have some other thoughts for other people.
